Is there any documentation available explaining the computations for the perplexity and burstiness value? Is burstiness computed using the fano factor? I would really appreciate if some additional informations became public about the approach used in GPTZero.
I'm excited by the effort, but I have been able to fairly reliably fool the program into thinking text I wrote was written by AI.
One flaw seems to be that it is biased against short declarative sentences, simple vocabulary, and any amount of repetition. This could also be decent student writing, up through high school.
